Mountain Streams Underwriting
Mountain Streams Radio, WKYW-LP, Keyser, WV, is a broadcast service of the Mineral County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Our mission is to celebrate the many musical traditions of West Virginia and the Appalachian region and to offer community radio services to the Mineral County area. We would like to extend an invitation to you to join our family of underwriters, and so we are offering special underwriting opportunities to those businesses which contribute!
Since we are non-commercial, we can not sell advertising to support our programming. We rely on donations from individual listeners and we are asking local businesses to help us sustain Mountain Streams Radio by underwriting. Underwriting means business support community radio. It is your opportunity to keep Mountain Streams Radio on the air. And your donation is fully tax-deductible. The Mineral County Convention and Visitors Bureau (our parent organization) is a 501c3 charitable organization.
It is also a good way to let listeners know about your business and your personal investment in the community. When you make a donation (underwrite) we will air announcements that acknowledge your support and give some basic information about your business.
Underwriting announcements may contain
- Name
- Location
- Phone Number
- Mottos or Slogans that identify but do not promote
- Value-neutral descriptions of a product line or service
- Brand name or trade names and product or service listings
- do not include qualitative or comparative language
- Underwriting Announcements May Not Contain:
- Price information including any indication of savings or value
- associated with a product or service
- A call to action (“Stop By” or “Try Our New Product”)
- Inducements to buy, sell, rent or lease
Packages For Business Underwriters

3 | $1000.00 | Mountain Streamer | Twelve on-air UW messages per day (with rotating content opportunities) for twelve months, plus, social media & website recognition. |
